Tour Details

Our journey on the Classic Inca Trail begins early in the morning. We leave by bus from Cusco (3350 m.a.s.l.) at 5:30 am. Along the way, we will see large agricultural fields and villages that preserve their ancient traditions. Kilometer 82 is the meeting point with the support team (porters) and the start of the Inca Trail.
After a three-hour hike, we will have lunch in Hatunchaka (3000 m.a.s.l.), a small village where you can buy water, snacks, and use the restrooms. Then, we continue to our camp in Wayllabamba (3300 m.a.s.l.), the last village on the route.

After enjoying the view, we will descend to the Pacaymayu valley (3500 m.a.s.l.) where we will have our lunch and spend the night at the camp of the same name.

The third day is the longest and most beautiful due to the constant changes in the ecosystem. In the morning, we continue our way to the Runcuracay pass (3950 m.a.s.l.), where we can see a panoramic view of the Aobamba valley (3400 m.a.s.l.) deep in the tropical forest, which becomes denser.
We will visit the archaeological sites of Runcuracay (3750 m.a.s.l.), Sayacmarka (3650 m.a.s.l.), and Phuyupatamarca (3600 m.a.s.l.), where we will have lunch before continuing to the last camp in Wiñayhuayna (2650 m.a.s.l.).

After waking up at 3:00 am, we head with our flashlights to the checkpoint. That day we will not have a traditional breakfast. After an hour of hiking, we will pass through the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), the perfect panoramic viewpoint that will leave you in awe of Machu Picchu and its amazing mountainous backdrop.
Then we will continue along the Inca Trail until we reach the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. Here you can take your 'postcard photo' and visit the main sites that await you. Then your guided tour of approximately 3 hours will begin, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about the life, culture, and history of the Incas.
Passing through sacred fountains, rooms, squares, the temple of the sun, the house of the Inca, the agricultural and urban sectors, and more, you will immerse yourself in a unique splendor that defines this outstanding UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Later, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can stroll around, grab a bite to eat, and buy souvenirs before our train and bus ride back to Ollantaytambo and Cusco in the afternoon or evening.
